La afecci\u00f3n est\u00e1 causada por una r\u00e1pida bacteriolisis (destrucci\u00f3n) de las espiroquetas bajo la acci\u00f3n del antibi\u00f3tico. Cuando las bacterias mueren en masa, se liberan al torrente sangu\u00edneo endotoxinas, lipoprote\u00ednas y fragmentos de ADN a la vez. Esto provoca una respuesta inmunitaria sist\u00e9mica: una \u00abtormenta de citocinas\u00bb con un fuerte aumento del nivel del factor de necrosis tumoral (TNF-\u03b1), las interleucinas IL-6 e IL-8.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x43A;&#x43B;&#x438;&#x43D;&#x438;&#x447;&#x435;&#x441;&#x43A;&#x43E;&#x435;-&#x437;&#x43D;&#x430;&#x447;&#x435;&#x43D;&#x438;&#x435;\"><strong>Importancia cl\u00ednica<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>El cuadro cl\u00ednico se desarrolla entre 2 y 8 horas despu\u00e9s de la primera inyecci\u00f3n y se parece a un s\u00edndrome gripal: escalofr\u00edos repentinos, aumento de la temperatura corporal hasta 39-40\u00b0C, cefalea, mialgia, taquicardia e hipotensi\u00f3n transitoria. La <strong>s\u00edfilis<\/strong> se caracteriza por un agravamiento temporal (brillo, hinchaz\u00f3n) de las erupciones cut\u00e1neas y un aumento de la infiltraci\u00f3n en la zona del chancro primario o de la <strong>vaginitis sifil\u00edtica<\/strong>. La afecci\u00f3n se resuelve por s\u00ed sola en un d\u00eda y sirve como confirmaci\u00f3n indirecta de la eficacia de la terapia.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La
