Die Sch\u00e4delh\u00f6hle eines erwachsenen Menschen ist eine hermetische und absolut nicht dehnbare kn\u00f6cherne Sph\u00e4re von festem Volumen. Dieses Volumen ist immer zu 100 % mit drei Komponenten gef\u00fcllt: Hirngewebe (etwa 80 %), Blut in den Gef\u00e4\u00dfen (10 %) und Liquor (10 %).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nach den Gesetzen der Fl\u00fcssigkeitsphysik muss eine Volumenzunahme einer dieser Komponenten (oder das Auftreten eines neuen, pathologischen Volumens wie bei H\u00e4matomen oder Tumoren) zwangsl\u00e4ufig durch eine gleichwertige Abnahme anderer Komponenten kompensiert werden. Der K\u00f6rper versucht zun\u00e4chst, das Gleichgewicht wiederherzustellen, indem er das Volumen des Liquors und des ven\u00f6sen Blutes in der Sch\u00e4delh\u00f6hle verringert. Wenn dieser Mechanismus ersch\u00f6pft ist, beginnt der Druck innerhalb der kn\u00f6chernen Box schnell und unkontrolliert zu steigen.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x43A;&#x43B;&#x438;&#x43D;&#x438;&#x447;&#x435;&#x441;&#x43A;&#x43E;&#x435;-&#x437;&#x43D;&#x430;&#x447;&#x435;&#x43D;&#x438;&#x435;\"><strong>Klinische Signifikanz<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Im Normalfall betr\u00e4gt bei einem Erwachsenen im Liegen der IKD 5 bis 15 mm Hg. Ein Zustand, bei dem dieser konstant \u00fcber 20 mm Hg liegt, wird als intrakranielle Hypertonie bezeichnet.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Erh\u00f6htes IKD ist aus zwei Gr\u00fcnden \u00e4u\u00dferst gef\u00e4hrlich. Zum einen verhindert es das Eindringen von arteriellem Blut in die Sch\u00e4delh\u00f6hle, was zu totalem Sauerstoffmangel (Isch\u00e4mie) und zum Hirntod f\u00fchrt. Zum anderen dr\u00fcckt es das Hirngewebe in die anatomischen \u00d6ffnungen an der Sch\u00e4delbasis (ein Prozess, der als Einklemmung bezeichnet wird), was zur Kompression des Hirnstamms und zum Atemstillstand f\u00fchrt.
