Im Gegensatz zur angeborenen Unterentwicklung\u00a0\u2013 Hypoplasie oder Aplasie\u00a0\u2013 handelt es sich hierbei um einen erworbenen Prozess.<\/p>\n\n<p>Im Wesentlichen handelt es sich bei einer Atrophie um die Anpassung der Zellen an ver\u00e4nderte Bedingungen, wie beispielsweise verminderte Belastung, Blutversorgung oder hormonelle Stimulation. Auf Zellebene wird dies durch eine Verringerung der Proteinsynthese und eine Erh\u00f6hung ihres Abbaus erreicht, h\u00e4ufig durch Autophagie (Selbstverdauung von Zellbestandteilen).<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x44D;&#x442;&#x438;&#x43E;&#x43B;&#x43E;&#x433;&#x438;&#x44F;-&#x438;-&#x43F;&#x430;&#x442;&#x43E;&#x444;&#x438;&#x437;&#x438;&#x43E;&#x43B;&#x43E;&#x433;&#x438;&#x44F;\"><strong>\u00c4tiologie und Pathophysiologie<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Unter Atrophie versteht man einen allgemeinen pathologischen Prozess, der je nach Ursache klassifiziert wird.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dysfunktionale Atrophie.<\/strong> Entsteht als Folge einer verminderten Organfunktion. Ein klassisches Beispiel ist die Skelettmuskelatrophie aufgrund l\u00e4ngerer Ruhigstellung von Extremit\u00e4ten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Denervationsatrophie.<\/strong> Diese tritt auf, wenn die Innervation von Gewebe oder Organen gest\u00f6rt ist, beispielsweise bei Muskelatrophie nach einer Sch\u00e4digung eines peripheren Nervs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Isch\u00e4mische Atrophie.<\/strong> Tritt als Folge einer langfristigen, chronischen Unterversorgung mit Blut auf, die zu Hypoxie und N\u00e4hrstoffmangel f\u00fchrt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Endokrine (dyshormonale) Atrophie.<\/strong> Die Ursache hierf\u00fcr ist ein Stillstand oder eine verringerte hormonelle Stimulation (z. B. Atrophie der Geb\u00e4rmutterschleimhaut und der Brustdr\u00fcsen in der Postmenopause).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Senile Atrophie.<\/strong> Ein allgemeiner Alterungsprozess, der unterschiedliche Organe und Gewebe, wie Haut, Knochen und Gehirn, betrifft.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x43A;&#x43B;&#x438;&#x43D;&#x438;&#x447;&#x435;&#x441;&#x43A;&#x43E;&#x435;-&#x437;&#x43D;&#x430;&#x447;&#x435;&#x43D;&#x438;&#x435;\"><strong>Klinische Signifikanz<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Eine Atrophie ist ein wichtiges klinisches Anzeichen bei vielen Krankheiten. Muskelatrophie kann z.\u00a0B. auf eine neurologische Pathologie (Amyotrophe Lateralsklerose, Polyneuropathie) hinweisen, und eine Atrophie der Gro\u00dfhirnrinde, die durch MRT festgestellt wird, kann auf neurodegenerative Erkrankungen wie Alzheimer hinweisen.<\/p>\n\n<p>Die Diagnose beruht auf einer visuellen Untersuchung, Palpation (Verringerung der Organgr\u00f6\u00dfe, ver\u00e4nderte Konsistenz) und instrumentellen Untersuchungsdaten (Ultraschall, CT, MRT), die eine objektive Bewertung des Ausma\u00dfes der Organverkleinerung erm\u00f6glichen. Die Behandlung der Atrophie besteht in erster Linie auf der Beseitigung der zugrunde liegenden Ursache.
